Central American Coffee

MEDIUM ROAST

Even though coffee trees were growing wild in Panama, serious coffee production did not begin until the early 20th century.  And, because of the climate and soil conditions being very favorable, Panama has been producing some of the better coffees of the region, especially for their price.

Because coffee is one of Panama’s prime crops of export, the Panamanian government ensures protection to coffee plants and crops from the effect of pests.

The Panamanian coffee is usually wet processed, mostly Arabica beans, with a medium to full body, and sweet profile.   You taste subtle tones of fruit and chocolate.   Harvest in Panama is between November and March.
