South American Coffee
Columbian Supremo Huila Coffee has been grown in Columbia since at least 1732 — and Columbia is the third largest producer of coffee in the world. Huila is one of the growing regions in the southern part of Columbia. Our brokers deal directly with the mills in Huila to purchase our coffee, as the small farmers sell their coffee beans in parchment to the mills. Specialty Huila coffee is grown between 3,500 and 5,000 foot elevation in the Andes mountain range.
This is a very mild coffee with good body and acidity with a fruity-floral finish, and a hint of spiciness ... high caffeine. Columbia Supremo is very well balanced, harvested September to February.
